RescueDoppler system, the future of CPR

The RescueDoppler system was developed by Cimon Medical AS using technology that originated from the ultrasound environment at The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and St. Olavs University hospital in Trondheim.

The future of monitoring hemodynamicly unstable patients

We envision a future in which the RescueDoppler system is incorporated in a defibrillator giving direct feedback to the health care workers about the quality of CPR, blood flow to the brain, best compression site and possibility of ROSC.

How it works

pre-clinical-1024x450.jpg

Pulsed-wave Doppler signal during compressions. Pre-clinical data.

An ultrasound probe is fastened above the carotid artery of the patient in a few seconds using the innovative ultrasound patch. The embedded ultrasound probe continuously monitors if there is any blood flow to the brain, and can alert the first responder if:

  • the compressions are not effective

  • return of spontaneous circulation (the heart starts beating again)

ResQDoppler® can be embedded inside a defibrillator as an OEM component or be developed as a standalone device.
